Help Us Stay in Touch

Hi everyone.

We are trying to find new ways to communicate information to our members quickly and effectively. We need to be able to point you to upcoming events, special offers, contests, changes, problems, etc., as they are happening.

In order to help us help you, we need you to connect with us. So to do that, we've set up profiles for FaithWriters on three social sites:

For all the Facebook users, could you please become a "fan" here: ... 628?ref=mf

For all the Twitter users, we'll keep you up to date if you follow us here:

For all the Shoutlife users, you'll get the latest news via Bulletin if you make us a friend here:

If you are a member of any other large, relevant social sites, please let me know. We want to cover as many bases as possible. I looked at MySpace, but it's really not as easy to communicate through it.

The monthly newsletters are at present only available online at FaithWriters; however, we will be recommencing these by email very soon. In the meantime, please make sure you add your email address to the drop down box that appears when you sign in to your FaithWriters account.

Even so, distribution of the newsletter to 41,000+ members will take time. We want you to have the latest news instantly. So if you belong to any of the above sites, or are thinking of joining one of them, please connect with us so we can connect better with you.

Love, Deb

What a wonderful idea. With so many using Facebook, Twitter, and ShoutLife, this is bound to help!

I agree - VERY smart! I'm now an "official" fan at FB (I've always been a fan  )

This is different, I believe, Carole. One is a group, the other is a "fan page" - or something like that. You don't get updates from the one you're already on. You will from this one!

I sent a Shoutlife friend request. Use it if you want.

With the FaithWriters Group at Facebook, that's an unofficial one started by a few members a while back. Nothing wrong with that -- I'm in it myself. LOL. But we needed an official profile page so people could become "fans". That way FaithWriters can communicate immediate information as quickly as possible. Between the message boards, the weekly/fortnight Heartbeat in the General Articles, and the profile pages on Twitter, Facebook and Shoutlife, we should be able to get the communication working a lot better.

Most important of all, we can let people know when a newsletter is online. That's where the bulk of information is, but at the moment, most people are missing it. On a site like this, good communication is absolutely essential. We've had a bit of a black hole for the last 12 months, so this should help.

Of course we won't catch everyone, but we will catch more than we are at the moment.

Love, Deb

I have a page on under Jini Lutz. Linkedin is very similar to FaceBook, but it's geared toward the professional aspect. I have joined several writing groups, and have applied for, and been accepted, for a couple of writing jobs. That might be a site to have Faithwriters links.
