When I think outside the box, I see The heavens proclaim His glory The skies display His craftmanship story Day after day their silent word is shown Night after night they make Him known Make Him known through all the land To all the world giving the gospel stand
When I think outside the box, I see The home of the heavens and the sun As it gives out its heat to everyone It bursts forth as the love of a new bride It rejoices like a great athlete's pride Traveling through the heavens with love Nothing may hide its heat from up above
When I think outside the box, I see The commandments of the Lord are right Bringing joy to our hearts day and night The commands of our Lord are clear They give lasting insight for all to hear That we may be free from deliberate sin That we may be free from all guilt within Now may the words of my mouth And the medication of my heart Be pleasing to You my Lord O Lord, my rock and my redeemer
This poem is built around the praises of Psalm Nineteen. In this hymn of praise, David reflects on the glory of God in natural revelation and the glory of the law as God's special revelation. Please read the Psalm in its entirety.
