Have you strayed away by mistake and you think God will not be committed to his promises because you have failed him? No, God doesn’t see you that way, he is faithful because it is just in his nature to be, God doesn’t function by the measure of who we are or what we have done, but who he is and his unconditional love for us. Just like any father would love his children, provide for them, care for them, not that he is expecting something in return but because it gives him the pleasure to love them.
He understands our feeble nature and wishes to help us, even when we make mistakes, he expects us to make amends immediately, put away sin consciousness which doesn’t allow us to flow with him. God wants us to know that when he forgives he forgets, Psalm 103:12; “as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.” So when you fall, just get back on your feet and keep on walking with God, those errors or sins cannot count against us again because God has canceled them by the blood of sacrifice. Isaiah 53:5; “ But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds, we are healed.” We are made righteous through Christ who has established a platform where we can stand righteous before God, he sees us through the atonement of Christ and his blood which washes away our sins.
God’s faithfulness is not a function of who we or where we are coming from, it is his attribute as God, he promised never to forsake or leave us, Deuteronomy 31;16; “the LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” He promised to be with us all the time, not in certain conditions but all the time, Even when we are passing through critical situations he is always there, Psalm 23:4; “ Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil for you are with me; your rod and your staff they comfort me.”
Are you going through a challenging situation right now and it is like God is silent or not doing anything, he is right by your side, walking through all the difficulties with you. Just remove your focus on your problem and turn it to God, you will see that problem getting smaller and God getting bigger. The more you focus on God, the more you will see him, it is like a magnet, your attention on God draws you closer to him.
