This is a great reminder and I enjoyed the analogy. Nice work!

I liked the thoughful analogy. It is easy to get distracted in the task the Lord has given us. The story about the twelve spies came to mind.
The pointers in this devotional gave me food for thought. I really liked your analogies of the card game and how we can not tip our hand and fold to Satan's wishes.
In this sentence: Once we are caught in the trap of always wanting more and never be contempt with what we have, nothing will ever be enough. --- The words I think you would want are "and never content with what...."

You are correct in saying that many people in this game of life give in because of what others have or even think they have. Many times this is because of weak Bible-less preaching.

The Bible is the rule book for playing this game.
Thoughtful and well written. A good reminder to ignore the wiles of the tempter and be content with the unique gift or gifts that God gives each believer. Obedience is a winning hand every time.
