A delightful story where human kindness had a major transformation on your MC. The church members were certainly social, with everyone except the new person. Sadly, this happens far too many times in real life. Hope your story does well with the judges.

This was a surprisingly emotional read for me. It really snuck up on me, but the car not starting sent me over the edge, emotionally, just as it did your MC. Without realizing it, you had drawn me into her world and situation and invested me in her well being. Which is a sign of some very good writing.

Very nice job. Thanks for sharing it with us.
