One word missing - but aside from that the all too true story is touching, tender and well written.
Expertly told! I was "fooled" up until you told me what was going on, but after reading it again I picked up on the subtle clues. This was heartbreaking.
This is a real heart tugger. I was surprised to learn who the child actually was. Well done.
This touched me as I have an elderly mom, too, and know how it feels to switch roles.

Excellent writing skills & creatively done!
Very well told! When my mom was dying of cancer two and a half years ago, our roles were reversed, and I became the "parent," too. I can relate to your story, as one of the tasks I did for mom was to spoon-feed her and try to encourage her to eat. Your's is a very realistically written piece.
This piece had me wiping tears from my eyes. I lost my own mom to cancer six years ago, and one of the hardest things for her was to have to become dependent on her own children for care, the same kind of care she used to give to us - feeding, bathing, and even diaper changing towards the end... Well done. Blessings, Cheri
