I thoroughly enjoyed this article. You may find a few ruffled feathers amongst your southern friends, but you've crafted a delightful read to point to a serious problem in our cultural dietary practices. I hesitate to say that "a spoon full of sugar makes the medicine go down," but that's what this piece reminds me... not to mention, "One catches more flies with honey than vinegar." Sometimes, it's easier to look at something we need to change by putting the finger of humor on the issue. I think your article did that very well. Nice job!

You're certainly on topic and manage to bring home a very important message to boot. The subject of "food" in excess, especially rich and fried, is something that, although enjoyable could have deadly consequences as we find at the end of your story.

Great job and well done!

God bless~

It is an all too true truth that many churches and pastors seem to give the sin of gluttony a pass and delightfully indulge in it as your story points out. And sadly it is everywhere, not just in the south. Enjoyed!

A very fun story with sweet humour, great characters and a serious message to make the read more than worth it.
