I really enjoyed this. Reminds me so much of my own grandmother, who also had very little formal education but was also a great storyteller and so intelligent beyond what she’d call “book learning”. Most of my early childhood stories of the bible and Godly lessons came from her. And she was a mighty prayer warrior. And the fruit of her prayers and lessons live on in many of the family. Your story reminds us we don’t have to be great in the eyes of the world to leave a great and “rich” legacy behind! Great job.

Way to go Sherry. Good job.
Congratulations, Sherry, on your EC for this memoir of warmth and love, which rings with realism.

What a splendid tale.

I especially liked the paragraph--
"There are many other tales she told. Tales of first love, heartbreaking tragedy, and, always, expressions of her love for the Lord. You see, her children and grandchildren were her students and her couch a classroom. Those stories offered life lessons to all who would listen. They were handed out without a hint of regret or bitterness, no matter the outcome. Life was what it was and she told it in a matter of fact way. The moral of the story was always, “learn as much as you can and always lean on the Lord.”"
Well done you storyteller you!
