This made me chuckle!
Love the warm self-deprecating fun, and the reassurance as you wrap it up.
Your title drew - no, sucked - me in.
Dust thou intend to pen more of these poems?
I hope so, as there's broom for many more - if you'll forgive such a sweeping statement...
This gives me hope as I too can't carry a tune in a bucket or any other container, yet as you point out, God appreciates my effort. People tell me I harmonize beautifully, but I don't know what that means. My sister thinks they are lying or perhaps I'm doing something accidentally. This enchanting poem is no accident, however, I can feel your essence in it and believe the Holy Spirit has plans that we might never expect for your words. They lifted me up, and even as good, made me chuckle...often. It flows wonderfully (Although I'm tone deaf, so take that with a grain of salt!), the rhymes are great, and the message is subtle (a clear Christian message that meets the new rule, yet doesn't feel preachy). Your sense of humor is delightful too. A vacuum when it dies...what a hoot!
Congratulations on your win, Laurie !!! Your wonderful sense of mischief shines all through it and it turned out to be a very funny, self-deprecating humor piece. You generally write more about serious things so this entry was a side of you I hope to see more of. Kudos!
Yay!!! Happy Happy Dance!
This is darling! I love the humor, the genuine humility and the message that God loves all about us, even the rough edges. Well done and congratulations on your win!
Loved it. Congratulations on your well-deserved win!
