I am so sorry you have to deal with this. Your title is pointed and earnest. Why, indeed? Makes one think.
This was beautifully written and I liked the cadence of the flow of words. Well done!

I don't know if I'll ever understand why God allows those in ministry to Him to suffer so much. It seems the stronger the ministry, the sicker or more attacks happen to the person. Only God knows.
I have friends with CFS and I know they are not faking this illness. It's as real as a broken arm or a ruptured appendix but because it isn't "seen" or identified, it's easily misunderstood. I love the way you structured your entry. It was concise, not too wordy, right to the point, yet descriptive enough to know your pain is real. My heart aches for you.
This brings tears to my eyes. I can't say how many times people give me that look or say something like if you had more faith... You give a voice to so many who are suffering and frustrated. It is making a difference in my heart for sure and I'm guessing I'm not alone.
For the first couple stanzas, I actually thought this was about believers and non-believers... then I realized you were talking about illness. Intentional or not, there is a definite parallel there.

Education is certainly needed - so many people just don't realize.
You have some really great rhymes in this well written, touching piece.
This is such a beautiful poem. I have met people with various diseases, some are textbook in the way they mutate and fester, while others (many) have "friends" coming along for the ride, throwing the textbook out the window. It's usually clear as mud, until each disease process can be separated from the other. Until then, I am thankful for those of my patients who have done their research and help me to understand what it is they are going through.
